Spring 2014

In formal evaluations submitted to the administration of Seaver College at Pepperdine University, the students in Jon Pfeiffer's Spring 2014 Media Law class made the following comments about Mr. Pfeiffer and the class:

  • He obviously understands law and is passionate about the subject matter. He admitted the first day of class that he only teaches in his spare time outside of practicing law because he enjoys it, and you can tell.
  • Professor Pfeiffer is f**king enthusiastic and shows great passion for law and his students on a consistent basis.
  • I like how he engages with the class in an honest and straightforward way. He is a man of great passion.
  • My favorite course so far. I never would have thought that I’d be interested in law before this course. I think it’s a great thing that it’s part of the comm requirements.
  • I like the teacher and his attitude and personality about life and class.
  • Great and interesting class… Got my interest going in regards to entertainment law.
  • Highly enthusiastic about the law.
  • I don’t think a 4 hour class on a Thursday night could be more enjoyable than the way Professor Pfeiffer makes it.
  • This has been one of my favorite classes at Pepperdine.
  • Smart, Funny, and engages students. Great class.
  • Learned a lot without realizing I was learning. Win win.
  • He makes the lectures funny and engaging. It is apparent how passionate he is about law.
  • He is EXCELLENT at adding visuals to his lectures, and his passion and knowledge for the subject is impeccable.
  • He made the class very fun no matter what topic we were covering. He used examples that he knew the class would both enjoy and learn from. His grading was very fair and was just overall an awesome teacher.
  • My favorite teacher at Pepperdine.
  • Humor. Sass. Smarts.
  • One of the best classes I took at Pepperdine. After four years, I have encountered some a**hole professors and some who are too afraid to step out of the “ Pepperdine” boundaries of what’s appropriate. By disregarding the Pepperdine “way,” you have managed to create a class that was meaningful, and will help me in the real world. Change nothing. You rock my sox Profe$$or.
  • Don’t change a damn thing.
