Fall 2015

In formal evaluations submitted to the administration of Seaver College at Pepperdine University, the students in Jon Pfeiffer's Fall 2015 Media Law class made the following comments about Mr. Pfeiffer and the class:

  • I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB PROFESSOR PFEIFFER DOES!!! Even though it was technically a "law class," something that I'm not particularly interested in, I LOVED HIS CLASS!
  • The course is excellent because of Professor Pfeiffer.
  • I really enjoyed my time during this course because I felt that there was a lot of passion and desire from the professor, which makes it so much more fun to learn.
  • He is a wonderful teacher!!!
  • He loves this stuff and is excited, eager, and engaging all the time. He makes the class fun and understandable even for those of us without a law mind.
  • Honestly one of the best I've had at Pepperdine.
  • You can tell that Professor Pfeiffer is extremely knowledgeable. This is exemplified in his ability to teach generally "dry" material in an enthusiastic, engaging manner that, as a result, is easily retained by the student.
  • A professional lawyer who does this job for fun...makes the students feel like he doesn't hate his job...sometimes a rarity in college and a refreshing change.
  • He always seems like he is having a fun time teaching and is very knowledgeable.
  • Puts a TON of effort into class presentations which makes the class much more entertaining, enthusiastic and enjoyable.
  • I could not list all of the positive things that Professor Pfeiffer exemplifies. Overall, top 5 teachers I've had at Pepperdine, and I'm a senior, so that says a lot!
  • He is really passionate about the subject and that shows in his presentation of his materials.
  • This is the only class that I took this semester that captivates my attention for the entirety of the duration and I actively learn every single class period. Fantastic use of class time.
  • My media law class is 4 hours long on Thursday nights. Pfeiffer is able to make the entire class exciting and go by quickly.
  • Although demanding, I did enjoy it a lot. I can't say this about many of my courses!
  • He is not the typical Pepperdine professor and I think that's necessary in a media law class. He teaches it how it is in the real world.
  • He brings so much energy and humor to the class. He is also very realistic and treats everyone as adults, which is very admirable and rare at Pepperdine University.
  • He isn't afraid to say things as they are. He understands that we are college kids so he rarely sugar coats things, which is a nice change from what I'm used to.
