Best Friend's Challenge, Creative Influencer Style

Jon: Veronica, you are a photographer. Correct?

Veronica: Yes.

Jon: Erica, you're a model?

Erica: Yes.

Jon: You're both seniors at Pepperdine?

Veronica: We are, yep.

Jon: You're also friends?

Both: Yeah, that's right.

Jon: Veronica, describe her.

Veronica: I love Erica because she's not only one of my best friends, but I can rely on her for anything. I can tell her anything. She has a million years of life

experience, and she's only 21, so I always go to her when I have a problem. She also tells me how it is. She's very straightforward with me, and I really appreciate that. She's just an overall really nice person, takes me in whenever I don't have anything to do, nowhere to go, she's just really thoughtful of other people.

Jon: Erica, describe Veronica.

Erica: Veronica is very ambitious. She always has a lot going on, but she's always willing to take time for other people if they need her. She's also a really great friend. She's very honest, which is why we get along, she doesn't beat around the bush. She always makes time for you if you need her.

Jon: What do you think has been the hands down, funniest moment in your friendship?

Veronica: We've been friends for a long time so—

Erica: Like in retrospect or like in the moment it was hilarious?

Jon: In the moment, or in retrospect. Either way.

Erica: In retrospect, there was like this minute chance that we were going to be roommates, like in the dorms here at Pepperdine, and I honestly think if we were roommates we would've hated each other—

Veronica: Probably.

Erica: —because we're so different so it's funny in retrospect that we were so close to being like rooming partners and then it just didn't work out, and I think it's better that it didn't.

Jon: Okay, so we're going to test your friendship now. This is my version of best friends challenge. How well do you know your friend? So, I'm going to first ask, "Veronica, what is Erica's," and then I'm going to give you a topic, and then I'm going to confirm with Erica to see if that's true.

Erica: Okay.

Jon: Veronica, what is Erica's favorite television show?

Veronica: Parks and Rec.

Jon: Is that true?

Erica: Yeah.

Jon: Erica, what is Veronica's favorite television show?

Erica: Hallmark. Anything Hallmark.

Veronica: Yes, I love Hallmark during Christmas.

Jon: Now this one wasn't fair because you sat through each other's interview. Okay now let's see if you remember this correctly. Veronica, what is Erica's favorite food?

Veronica: Buttered rice.

Erica: Yup.

Jon: Veronica, what is Erica's favorite food?

Erica: Gnocchi.

Veronica: And she knows that because we go on so many gnocchi dates. Oh my gosh after law.

Erica: After law she'll just be like, "I need gnocchi, we're going."

Veronica: Yeah so we've gone out to gnocchi so many times.

Jon: So far, it's tied 2 to 2. Veronica, what is Erica's favorite pizza topping?

Veronica: Usually we just have pepperoni pizza when we're together, but I don't know.

Erica: That's it.

Veronica: Pepperoni? Okay, yeah.

Jon: Erica, what is Veronica's favorite topping?

Erica: You just like cheese. Right?

Veronica: It's pepperoni! How could you forget that?!

(laughter)

Jon: 3 to 2, okay. Veronica, what is Erica's favorite holiday?

Veronica:Oh man, I don't know. I think it's Christmas.

Erica: Yeah, it's Christmas.

Jon: Christmas? That was a guess, but I'll give it to you. Erica what is Veronica's favorite holiday?

Erica: It's Christmas.

Veronica: Yeah, definitely. I start celebrating November 1st.

Erica: I wanted to start July, but my husband was like, "No. That's not okay."

Jon: There's a Hallmark has Christmas in July the entire month.

Erica: Exactly.

Veronica: Wait, really?

Jon: Yes.

Erica: Yeah.

Veronica: How did I not know about this?

Erica: I feel like you're always gone in July.

Veronica: Yeah, I am. But still, I feel like I should know that.

Jon: Veronica, what is Erica's favorite ice cream flavor?

Veronica: It's like when we went to Jeni's, you got that cake one. What is that called? I don't know the name of it.

Jon: Is she close? She's not close?

Veronica: What?!

Erica: My favorite is mint chocolate chip.

Veronica: I was going to say mint chip, and then I was like you know what, that's Jack's favorite. I literally was going to say mint chip and then I was like, no.

Jon: Erica, this is your chance to bring yourselves into a tie. What is Veronica's favorite ice cream flavor?

Erica: Isn't yours cookie dough?

Veronica: Yeah it is. I knew it was mint chocolate chip, I should've just said it.

Jon: Veronica, Erica's favorite fast food restaurant?

Veronica: Erica doesn't really eat a lot of fast food, but I mean we've had In-N-Out, but you don't eat fast food. You do?

Erica: Yeah, I do.

Veronica: Oh, then I have no idea.

Erica: My favorite is Chick-fil-A. I love Chick-fil-A.

Veronica: Because you prep your meals and eat so healthy all the time.

Erica: I do, I prep all my meals. But my like secret like, we're probably going to go get Chick-fil-A before this party after the final because I need Chick-fil-A.

Veronica: Okay. I didn't know that about you.

Jon: Erica, Veronica's favorite fast food?

Erica: In-N-Out.

Veronica: Yes.

Erica: I'm in the lead!

Jon: You're in the lead.

Veronica: First place you took me to after my surgery.

Jon: Okay, there are three more questions. You're in the lead. Oh!

Erica: Lights come back on.

Jon: Lights, come back lights. Here we go. We're in a light sensitive room. Veronica, Erica's favorite song?

Veronica: I don't know her favorite song, but I do know that her little sister made her this ratchet playlist that she listen to in the car everyday. So that should count for something.

Jon: Erica, do you know Veronica's favorite song?

Erica: I know you love The Weeknd.

Veronica: I do love The Weeknd.

Jon: Is that your favorite?

Veronica: Well like he's an artist.

Erica: The Weeknd is a band.

Jon: Well I mean, is that your favorite artist?

Veronica: Yeah, it's like one of them. I'd say so.

Erica: My favorite song is Misery Business by Paramore.

Veronica: Is that in the playlist?

Erica: No.

Veronica: Well you always listen to that playlist.

Erica: I do love that. My little sister made it, it reminds me of her.

Jon: Last question. Veronica, Erica's favorite animal?

Veronica: Well, she has a dog that she absolutely loves.

Erica: How do you not know this?

Veronica: We've never discussed these things. No, we haven't.

Erica: I have them all over my house.

Veronica: Wait don't tell me.

Erica: Come on, you can do this.

Veronica: All over your house, I've never seen—

Erica: Tommy?

Veronica: Who the heck's Tommy?

Erica: Oh my God, no.

Veronica: I've been to your house multiple times.

Erica: We talk about this all the time.

Veronica: I'm going to probably like go—

Erica: Okay, you lose on this.

Jon: You lose.

Erica: Turtles. I love turtles.

Veronica: What?

Erica: I have Tommy the turtle. The stuffed turtle that Tony had in college and then when I met him—

Veronica: You didn't tell me this.

Erica: Oh my God, I have turtles in my bathroom—

Jon: This will determine if you win by 2 or 1. Erica, Veronica's favorite animal?

Erica: I feel like you like koalas, don't you?

Veronica: No. I like dogs.

Erica: Dogs?

Jon: Okay, you win by one.

Veronica: Mint chocolate chip, I should've said it. I knew it was mint chocolate chip.

Erica: I'm sorry. I still love you.

Veronica: Thanks. I love you too.

(laughter)
