When I started practicing, I took a case based upon the likelihood that it would go to trial. All I wanted to do was try jury trials. Over time, that has changed.
Now, before bringing on a new client, I sit down with that person or group to discuss their current legal situation and future needs. I want to develop a long-term relationship with my clients so it is important that we are a “good fit.” If I believe that we can provide zealous representation based on their specific legal need and are a good fit, I will agree to represent that individual or business as a client. If I don’t think we are a good fit, I will refer the prospective client to another lawyer who can help.
